Banner Gateway

So after 5 years of school, and hours and hours of study, I passed my NCLEX on June 22, 2010 to become an official licensed Registered Nurse! And now last Thursday I accepted a job offer to work at Banner Gateway in their Med/Surg department, day shift! I start August 9th and am super excited! It is a beautiful hospital and the closest Banner hospital to our house! Plus after all these years of school it's nice to finally be done! I am excited for this new chapter in our lives to begin and can't wait for all the knowledge I have yet to gain by being a nurse in the real world ;)

41 Days

It's so funny to look back on my ignorant days.. Those first days so long ago back in Jr 1 when I was so excited I learned how to do an enema.. Haha. I am now at the top of the food chain, a big ole Senior 2 with only 41 days til graduation. So close! Yes that is right, I have now just about mastered my nursing skills and will be set loose upon the unsuspecting world :- #. Haha. Life is good, me and Randy have had a wonderful year (can you believe it's been that long since my last post?!). In between the relentlessness of school we've managed to have a few fun trips. We hung out with my fam at Mesa Verde as we saw the indian ruins. We also went to Young for our second anniversary, and with Randy's fam to the Sand Dunes, and most recently over Spring break, Mexico (no worries, we didn't die :) ). The only misfortune is that it appears I wore too much sunscreen and came back almost as white as when I left. But alas, I will have a full summer to soak up the sun as I bask in the glory of NO MORE SCHOOL. But the most exciting part of the summer will be the trip Randy and I are planning to visit New York City and Washington D.C. as a graduation/third anniversary present ( have we really already been married almost three years?). We can't wait, it will be so much fun. :) Here are a couple pics of our fun adventures over this past year. And the one of Randy in the kitchen I couldn't resist. Haha I love him. Enjoy! :)
